Honesty Scriptures

Better is a poor person who walks in his integrity than one who is crooked in speech and is a fool. Proverbs 19:1

 

Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.  Proverbs 12:22

 

For we aim at what is honorable not only in the Lord’s sight but also in the sight of man.  2 Corinthians 8:21

 

For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”  I Peter 3:10-12

 

Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things. Hebrews 13:18

 

Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.  Proverbs 10:9

 

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.  Ephesians 4:31-32

 

Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices.  Colossians 3:9

 

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me — practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.  Philippians 4:8-9
